Crutches. What is the best type of hand grip pad to buy?

My granddaughter`s hands are becoming sore from using her elbow crutches. I have seen a number of different types of grip pads claiming to help. Are there any users who can advise me. My granddaughter is fourteen years old and will be using crutches for some time.
