Do you think that God will forgive me?

Something happened to my cousin in Sri Lanka. I told my good friend about it and my brother got angry because he said it was private business and I shouldn't have told. I feel really bad now as if I'm this big gossip. I only told this friend and no one else and I told her because I had no one else to confide in. Nevertheless, I am wrong and I don't know if I'll be forgiven by God. Please be nice when answering the question.
