Why do so many Canadians pretend to be helpful and friendly when they're not to me?

Sorry to hear about your problems but generalizing that Canadians are not friendly isn't going to get you much sympathy. It sounds like there's more to this story than what you're saying. No one loses all their friends, gets kicked out of school, gets held back, gets fired after one month for no reason at all. I bet everyone of us has had their share of set backs, I know I have and that includes being bullied. Just by your tone and the way you answered ajidamoon, you seem a tad hostile. Maybe that's your problem, you don't interact well with others. Finding a job isn't the easiest thing to do, gay or straight, it's not just you having the problem. Beating yourself up isn't going to help. And I don't feel better about myself just because you're having issues, so please don't tell me that.
