Will American people understand Cheryl Cole on X-Factor?

You will have probably seen Cheryl Cole by now as the new Judge on X-Factor in the USA. She has a really strong accent that half of the UK can't really understand so how the hell will Americans understand her? Will they welcome her as she has zero talent compared to Paula Abdul, she can't sing, she is not very intelligent,doesn't write her own songs etc. I guess the only thing America will like is the fact that she has fake teeth and hair and is thin but does that mean that she should be judging America on their talent?
