Anti -death penalty libs, would u still be happy abut freeing the captain if u knew the pirates were executed?

i heard the navy could have taken all pirates prisoners,but instead they shot them like dogs ,am happy for that but i wanna know what libs think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
