Can I use a urine and saliva ph tester for a fish tank?

I'm not sure how these work, as many pH test kits contain different reagent chemicals to test different substances. You don't have to pay $50 for a pH test kit, for that sort of money you would be looking at a digital test meter with a probe. You can quite easily pick up liquid pH test kits designed for aquarium use for around $10-15.
