Is there any ALLEGORY in the poem A Brave and Startling Truth by Maya Angelou?

It's a beautiful poem filled with gorgeous images and metaphors. I'm no expert, but I don't see it as an allegory though. I think of an allegory as a concrete story with a broader meaning, like a parable in the New Testament or Aesop's fables. This poem seems more abstract and lyrical to me rather than telling a specific tale.
