Will intergalactic space travel and space habitation be happening within the next 1000 years?

ion/nuc propulsion is very real. it won,t get people to the stars. chemical propulsion is a dead end, except for near earth missions. a warp drive is theoretically possible. the power source is so far beyond our abilities that it may never happen. somebody will figure a way to get around the speed of light limitation. possibly in your lifetime.
