Yeah, about Harry Potter.....?

In the 5th book, when Harry is desperate to get into contact with Sirius, did anyone else think he was the dumbest boy alive when he risked going into Umbridge's office to use her fire, when he had JUST been given the mirror that let him talk to Sirius??? I love HP, but that always bugs me....
